Five of our favourite beach picnic spots within a short drive of the shop — and the Marvelous pack we'd grab for each. Made for sunny Moreton Bay afternoons.
Scarborough has some of the best beach picnic spots on the Redcliffe peninsula — calm bay water, big shady trees and proper picnic tables. We've fed locals here for years, so we know exactly where to take a hot pack of fish and chips. Here are our five favourite spots, all within 5 km of the shop at 4/113 Landsborough Ave, Scarborough QLD.
Straight across the road from our shop
Big shady picnic shelters, BBQs, playground and a calm beach right at your feet. Literally cross Landsborough Ave and you're there — the easiest grass-to-sand picnic spot with hot fish and chips in hand.
Local tip: There's a jumping pillow for the kids — perfect to wear them out while you grab the food.
~800 m south
Long stretch of grass facing east across the bay toward Moreton Island. Quieter than the main beach and a great spot to take in the open-water view with a hot pack of chips.
Local tip: It's a dog-friendly beach — bring the pup along for the picnic.

Wide open grass right on the foreshore with shaded picnic tables and a cracking view back over the bay. Plenty of room for the kids to run around between bites.
Local tip: Sheltered tables on the southern end catch the breeze without the full midday sun.

One of Scarborough's prettiest waterfront parks — manicured lawns, big shade trees, BBQs and a path straight down to the rocks. Perfect for a relaxed sit-down feed.
Local tip: Grab a table near the rotunda — it's the most popular spot for a reason.

Sit on the sea wall watching the boats come in and out of the harbour. Front-row seats to the working marina, with a salty breeze that goes perfectly with hot chips.
Local tip: Aim for late afternoon — the wall faces west, so the sunset over the boats is unreal.
Call ahead and your pack will be hot and ready when you swing past on your way to the beach.
